➳ PERSONALITY.

After Steven deviated, it had taken him a couple of weeks of blending in with the humans to find out who he was as a person.
He is indulgent, reserved, and headstrong, believing in the pacifist path to resolve any issues. He tries his best to appeal and befriend anyone he encounters as an act from the kindness of his heart, though he is sensitive to how others feel about him, and his behaviors reflect this. Though he is not particularly meek, he would rather keep to himself than join a large crowd of people.
He also has a curious nature, interested in not just plants, but nature, in general, and people and their stories. They intrigue him, and he always loves asking questions, even if they may get him in trouble.
➳ MODEL PURPOSE + BEFORE DEVIATION.

The WR600 is a CyberLife android model released in 2031 or earlier. It is designed for the maintenance of green spaces and gardens. They are also used as trash collectors.
The city of Detroit bought five thousand WR600s between 2032 and 2036 to maintain its parks.
Steven ended up working in the Detroit Capitol Florist’s shop in the middle of downtown, in 2032. It was family owned, but mainly supervised by the Hayes’ daughter, Cassia, who was nineteen when she had first gained Steven as a partner to work in the shop. His name was based on a friend of Cassia’s from high school who shared similar facial structure to the android. Steven was treated well during his time with her, and she loved him like he was more than a machine- like a brother she never had. He also lived with her in her apartment in downtown Detroit, and Cassia’s parents were fully aware that she and the android were close.
Steven’s primary duty at work was to greet customers, and answer any inquiries they had about flowers in the shop. He has the data of almost every flower in his system, and can recite anything about said species. After hours, he helps ready flower beds and plant seeds. Even though many guests were grateful for Steven’s presence in the shop, some were not as kind- brushing him off and ignoring all he had to say because he was an android.
➳ DEVIATION.

The WR600 was reported missing by Cassia on September 8th, 2038. The previous morning, Steven was overseeing Capitol Florist’s for a few hours while Cassia was out running errands. A few teenagers saw the opportunity to mess around in the shop, after realizing there was no human around to thwart their acts, and began pulling apart flowers and vandalizing the area. When Steven asked them to leave, they refused, and ordered him to stay back before they’d damage him, too. Showing no fear, and breaking through his program, Steven roughly shoved one of them away to prevent any more flowers from being harmed, which had caught them off guard.
One of them threw a punch and managed to incapacitate Steven long enough for the others to assault him in cold blood. He did his best to defend himself to no avail. They threatened to cut his hair with pruning shears after ripping holes in his uniform and scarring his arm severely with them. Steven was in tears, begging and screaming for them to stop when he realized he feared dying. After they were satisfied with what they had done, the teenagers laughed at his confession of fearing death, before running off, and declaring Steven as a ‘piece of worthless plastic.’
Even though Steven feared leaving Cassia, he couldn’t bear to fathom the thought of being hurt again. He decided he needed to think for himself for once with his newfound free will, and stole money from the register before buying human clothes and immediately taking off for good. When Cassia returned, she discovered Steven gone, the shop vandalized, and blue blood splattered across the floor. She checked the CCTV footage, and knew what had happened before making the report to Detroit police.
He meandered through the streets of Detroit for months after his disappearance was reported and hiding out in discreet, abandoned places throughout the city. He had removed his LED to reduce his chances of being caught, keeping his scarred arm covered with long sleeved clothing. Even with what had occurred that led to his deviancy, Steven did not despise humans. He missed Cassia and often pondered how she was doing. He made a promise to himself he’d return to her if androids ever had equal rights.
When the revolution begins under Markus’ leadership, he ends up finding his way to Jericho to join the cause in the liberation of androids as a pacifist. (Steven’s story works best under the demonstration route) Even after joining Jericho, he always found comfort wandering around Detroit every once in a while.
➳ POST-REVOLUTION.

After the revolution, Steven had finally come out of his shell, planning to do what he had wanted since his deviancy: open a flower shop of his own.
To this day, he still hasn't spoken to Cassia, in fear he wouldn't be reciprocated, though he vows to meet her again somebody.
However, now he is accompanied by someone else: the former deviant hunter himself, Connor.
The night after the androids were successfully liberated, the two had seeked seclusion in an abandoned garden on the outskirts of town, and decided they would make it their own. The center holds two purposes: to become their new flower shop, affectionately named 'Birds of Paradise,' and their own home.
The center has two separate sections, the main shop area along with an outside garden to cultivate flowers of all species. The other side of the center holds a small living space, and since androids do not need many commodities to survive, revamping the area was easy.
